    Media Center Staff
    Mrs. Terri Plumer is the Librarian/Media Specialist at FMS. She is originally from the small town of Montoursville, Pennsylvania. She received her degree in Library Science from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. Mrs. Plumer has been a library media specialist for over twenty years. She began her career in Somerset County, and then moved to Baltimore County. After taking a brief leave of absence from BCPS when she had her children, she then returned for a couple of years. Mrs. Plumer has spent the last twenty years of her career in Harford County, the last fourteen years at FMS. She is a member of the American Library Association, The American Association of School Librarians, The Maryland Association of School Librarians and the Harford County Association of School Libraries. Over the years she has made presentations to the Harford County Reading Council, to fellow media specialists at in-service meetings, to public and HCC librarians at in-service and to social studies teachers and media specialists at in-service. She presented at the 2015 fall conference of the Maryland Association of School Librarians. She has worked on writing and editing the school library media curriculum in 2005 and 2010. She has served on the Harford County School's Library Steering Committee, and is a member of the FMS School Improvement Team. Mrs. Plumer is married and has two children. In her free time she enjoys reading, cooking and baking.
    Mrs. Pat Minarik is the Media Technician at FMS. She is a Fallston resident and has been a technician in Harford County Public Schools for several years. She is one of the writers of the Media Technician handbook, and has also worked at the HCPS processing center in Forest Hill.Her background is in interior design. She has two sons, who attended Fallston schools and are FHS graduates.
    Mission Statemen​t
    The mission of the Fallston Middle School Library Media Center is twofold. The first part is to provide quality resources and to instruct students in how to use them so that they can be successful as twenty-first century learners. The second part is to provide and promote quality reading materials so that our students can become life-long readers.

    Hours of Operation:

    Students who lose materials will be charged the replacement cost of the book plus a $1.00 processing fee (per HCPS policy)
    Overdue and fine notices will be sent to the students via their ILA teacher
    Internet:
    Students must have
    Computers/Internet:
    School computers are for school related work. Students may work on projects/assignments during homeroom, or other times of
    the Internet User Agreementday, with a signed planner. During homeroom students may play Cool Math or First in their planners to accessMath as long as the Internet in the media center.
    They
    computers aren't needed for school projects.
    Students
    must speak with either Mrs. Strasdauskas or Mrs. Plumer before using the Internet, and show their signed user agreement. The agreement must be displayed while the student is on the Internet. Students should also ask before printing.

    Mrs. Leslie Strasdauskas is the media technician. She is a Maryland native. She has a B.S. in Psychology from Towson University. Mrs. Strasdauskas worked previously as an Inclusion Helper and a substitute teacher at Youth's Benefit Elementary School. She has been at FMS for ten years. She is married and has three children and one grandchild. Her hobbies are reading, traveling and gardening.

    Welcome back to FMS! Thank you and congratulations to all of our students who participated in the Harford County Public Library summer reading program. We showed our Fallston pride again and took the trophy!! Now let's have a great year.

    Welcome back! I hope everyone had a safe and relaxing summer and did lots of reading. Thank you to all of the students that completed the summer reading program at the public library. FMS is #1 again! I will be going to the Harford County Public Library board meeting on September 17th at the Bel Air branch of the library to pick up our trophy. You all make me very proud!
